This paper presents selected issues related to changes occurring in the landscape of the Polish countryside, resulting from an increase in the use of European Union funds. The article dis-cusses traditional rural area development, its most important contemporary transformations and ex-amples of the impact of projects implemented with the use of EU funds. The aim of the research – to analyse of EU spending for rural architecture and landscape projets in Poland and to propose measures to eliminate negative such projects preparation and execution results.The research method is based on an analysis of data originating from official reports and statistical data. The analysis of data covers period 2007–2013. The authors of the article proposes to improve the process of pro-jects preparation, conciliate this with the rural landscape and building architects.
