The most effective and inexpensive method of preventing infectious diseases is vaccination. In our country, there is a vaccination scheme for children within the scope of the Expanded Program on Immunization. There are some items for adults in the Program; however, no detailed scheme is available and vaccination has not been routinely practiced. Adult immunization rates are not at desirable levels even for risky groups. In order to achieve a desired goal in adult vaccination, it is essential to know deficiencies and to create awareness. For this purpose, improvement efforts at the national level are needed. In this respect, family physicians have important roles. Therefore, it was planned to prepare a roadmap to raise awareness about adult immunization, to monitor the current situation, and to establish a framework for what needs to be done. We thank everyone who contributed to the study.
