After decades of apparent serenity Spanish society took the streets in May 2011 to bring what manyconsider a landmark in the history of social movements. This revolutionary process, despite beingnew in its forms, has certain characteristics reminiscent of the revolutions of the twentieth century. It is known the influence of Kropotkin in the Spanish rebellions of the twentieth century but arestill valid these libertarian principles today? This paper aims to answer this question by establishinga comparison between the 15 -M movement and the conception worked two centuries ago by theRussian thinker. The result of this confrontation will establish the degree of validity of the kropotkiniansapproaches in the XXI century.
