In this paper the purposiveness of the geometric figures is characterized. Kant develops the concept of this kind of purposiveness in the second section of his Critique of Judgment . I consider that this concept allows Kant to specify the relation between the concepts and the solution of problems in Mathematics. This paper contains three parts. First, I explain some aspects of the Kant’s conception of geometrical concepts. Second, I describe the function of geometrical purposiveness in the context of the “Critique of Teleological Judgment”. Finally, I comment the specific characteristics of this purposiveness.
