The diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHP) can be difficult in patients with normal plasma calcium or parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels. We perfected a standardized short-time i.v. calcium loading test in healthy controls (HC) and compared the results with those of patients with PHP.
