A case of malignant melanoma in a male hay Dutclı horse about 12 years old is described with the patholagical findings. The spleen weighed 9.5 kg. The !iver weighed 22 kg. was very graeatly enlarged, and showed numeraus secondary grawths ji"om 0.5 to 5 cnı in diallieter. Stomach, .imalı intestine, reeıum, right kimley, surrenal, peritoneunı, pancreas, lungs, pericardium, hem.t, aorta, 1/1I11.~ intercostales, /11. splenius, m. c!eidocephalicu.l', nı. biceps /emoris, nı. semitendiııeus, m. semimembranosus, mesenteric, portal, mediastinal, bronchial, prescapular, suhmandihular and subliııgual Iymph nodes, thyroid, gl. parotis and h).pophyse showed metastatic growths. The hisıological findiııgs of melanol/1O.I'wel'e discussed aııd illustrated. Mm;y gial1f cells ıvere observed in some metastalic grOlvths.
