The study was mrried on caules, -sheeps, black goats and slray dogs in Elazığ, an eastem city of Turkey. In the 258 (6 i .4 %) of the 4'20 caules, 196 (,18.3 %) of the 405 sheeps, andg5 (37.2 %) of the 255 black gıJats, slaughlered in Elazıg slaughter/wuse, nymphal stages ~rthe parasite were .round in the mesenteric !ymph nodes. In the 35 (4°.2 %) of the 87 stra)' dogs mature parasites waefaund in the naml cavities of the animals. The veterina/y and public health significance ~rthe Linguatula serrata was also discussed in the paper.
