Son zamanlarda psoriazisin immüııpatogenezi konusunda çalışmalar yoğunluk kazanmıştır. Psoriaziste immün sistemle ilgili çeşitli bozukluklar gösterilmektedir. Psoriazisli olgularda dolaşımdaki T hücre sayısında, azalma epidermiste T helper ve supressor hücre oranlarında bozukluklar gösterilmiştir. Bu bulgular; psoriazisin, T hücrelerinin ortaya çıkardığı anormal keratinosit proliferasyonu olduğu sonucunu ortaya çıkarmaktadır.
