The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of women’s participation in sports activities on their leisure time satisfaction and quality of life. Within this frame, the data derived from demographic information and leisure time satisfaction and quality of life scales of the participant women were analyzed together. According to the obtained data, the discussion was carried out using analysis and discussion technique. In this study, the universe was composed of approximately 350,000 female members attendingprivate sports centers. 524 volunteer women were selected randomly as the sample group of the study. The study was conducted using the "screening model". For this purpose, “Leisure Time Satisfaction Scale” (LTSS) was used in order to evaluate leisure time satisfaction level of the participants which was developed by Beard and Ragheb in 1980 and adapted to Turkish in 2008 by Karlı, Polat, Yılmaz, and Koçak. In addition to this, World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOLBREF) Scale developed by WHO (1998) and the Turkish validity reliability study conducted by Sevil (2015) was applied to the participants to determine their quality of life. The information provided by women participating in private sports centers during 2016 and 2017 years was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 package program.
