Tibbi ve ekonomik olarak oldukca buyuk bir oneme sahip olan ve Turkiye’de corek otu olarak bilinen Nigella sativa, Turkiye’nin cesitli bolgelerinde yetistirilmektedir. Yaginin en onemli bilesigi timokinondur. Nigella sativa alternatif tipta kanser, romatizma, basagrisi ve daha bircok hastaliga karsi binlerce yildir kullanilmaktadir. Bu calismada; Ankara’da bulunan aktarlardan temin edilmis 10 farkli corekotu tohumu ve yagi, icerdikleri timokinon miktarlarina gore yuksek performansli sivi kromatografisi (HPLC) ile incelenmistir.
