Govang-Su I, pioneer of Korean Novel, opened new era with the publication of “Life With No Mercy” in 1917. His Novels were always based on enlightening and informing Korean people. He has been the advisor and striking figure of his era even he had a difficult life. “Life With No Mercy” shows the properties of near age Korean Novel. It can be accepted as an transpassing novel from the ancient age to the new age. By giving new style to Korean Novel Govang-Su I can be accepted as the founder of contemporary Korean Novel.
