During the course of the excavations I carried out in the fossiliferous beds of the Küçükyozgat (Elmadağ) 2 district in the summer of 1954, was found a fragment of an upper jaw and a fragment of a lower jaw belonging to the genus Crocuta. These fossil remains were found in a deposit of hard, heterogeneous calcareous clay of light brown color at the Kuyu larla locality (Locus 2), 4 which I had discovered during the course of field work and excavations in the Küçükyozgat region in 1-951.
