Turkish population is under the effect of intra-urban migration which has been increasingly gaining importance. 650.000 people on average move from one region to another with the population movements. This study aims to examine migrations in the same region. Within a period of five years, about one million people (which constitutes 25 per-mille of the country's population) moved within regional borders. This demographical movement usually takes place in regions that are developing economically and socially. The migrants want to move to administrative centres, particularly to central towns in the region.
