La mise en abyme called as story within the story, play within the play or the part reflecting the whole work can also be seen in Passage de Milan which is a novel written by French author, Michel Butor. By the way, the traces of the other works and the Ancient Egyptian Civilization show us the presence of intertextual relations in the novel. in our article, these methods which give the polysemy, polyphony specialities to the novel are tried to be discussed.
