Bu calisma, olusturmaci yaklasima dayali geometri egitiminin sinif ogretmenligi ogrencilerinin geometrik basarilari ve Van Hiele geometrik dusunme duzeylerine olan etkisini belirlemek amaciyla yapilmistir. Arastirma, on test-son test kontrol gruplu yari deneysel modele gore tasarlanmistir. Arastirmanin evrenini Cukurova Universitesi Egitim Fakultesinde ogrenim goren ogrenciler olustururken; orneklemini ise ayni fakultenin sinif ogretmenligi ana bilim dalina devam eden 70 birinci sinif ogrencisi olusturmustur. Veri toplama araci olarak “Geometri Basari Testi”, “Van Hiele Geometri Dusunme Testi” ve “Urun Secki Dosyasi” kullanilmistir. Verilerin cozumlenmesinde betimsel istatistik ve bagimsiz gruplar t testi uygulanmistir. Arastirmanin sonucunda deney grubu ile kontrol grubunun akademik basarilari arasinda istatistiksel olarak herhangi bir fark olmadigi, ancak Van Hiele geometri dusunme duzeyleri acisindan deney grubu lehine anlamli bir fark oldugu sonucuna ulasilmistir.
