This paper aims to highlight the importance of the relationships between the Kingdom of Asturias and Europe, as well as outline the possible existence of maritime activities in the Bay of Biscay, through the study of political, cultural and economic notices, despite the scarcity of sources, and its traditional conception as an autarkic and isolated realm.
