This study aims to determine the dominant learning styles of student athletes and investigate these styles in respect to alma mater and academic achievement. The study’s sample group consists of 482 student athletes (350 studying at secondary education/high school, 132 studying at higher education/university). Kolb Learning Style Inventory-III (LSI-III) was used as a data collection tool in the study. Data was analyzed using χ 2 (Chi-Square) and KruskalWallis H tests. Whereas learning styles of the student athletes did not differ according to the alma mater, their academic achievements differed depending on their learning styles. In the research result it has found out that the student athletes mostly have diverging learning styles, and styles of the accommodating came at least. Additionally, academic achievement of student athletes have accommodating learning style was higher than academic achievement of student athletes have diverging learning style. Furthermore it could be said that the alma mater is not a decisive factor in the learning style of the student athletes.
