The object of this study was to evaluate the marginal leakage of amalgam restoration associated or not to resinous agents, when they are submitted to brushing using differents resinous agents and differents condensation methods. With this pur- pose, 144 molar and pre-molar teeth were used and divided into 18 groups of 8 teeth each. Class V cavities preparation were performed on buccal surface. The cavities were filled with Duralloy capsuled silver alloy by following different ways: only silver amalgam (control); amalgam associated with SBMU Plus adhesive system and amalgam associated to the Scotchbond Resin Cement . The amalgam was condensed using three differents technics: manual, mechanic and ultra- sonic. Half of the samples were submitted to the mechanic brushing (30.000 cycles) and after thermocycled to 500 ti- mes, being also immersed into 2% metilene blue solution and examined in a stereoscopic loupe (63x).
