The image of the animal world has always had multiple faces. It can be a symbolic vision (animals reflect the virtues and human vices), descriptivist (focusing on their behavior and morphological traits), utilitarian (service animals to humans) or affective (aims to establish an emotional bond between animals and man). This work tries to approach these issues in Early modern Spain.
