Análisis geoarqueológico y espacial de un yacimiento musteriense al aire libre: la raña de Cañamero (Cáceres, España)

The archaeological surveys and prospections carried out in two areas of Canamero (a municipality in Caceres) have revealed many remains of Middle Palaeolithic lithic industry. After the necessary technological studies, this paper tries to contextualise the site in a regional scale, and to study its development over time (post-depositional processes). In order to achieve this, we resorted to different techniques and work methods such as archaeology, geomorphology or Geographic Information Systems. Our goal is to contribute to the understanding of the origin and evolution of Middle Palaeolithic outdoor activities in the area.
