The social and politic development of Castulo and its environs goes from a egalitarian society to a class-society, and perhaps to a chief-society. This change was stimulated by the trade between the indigenous and foreign merchants, which brought exotic and prestigious products in exchange to metal. This trade must have important for the social process to a chief-society.
