Riesgo de inundación y ordenación territorial en el área litoral sur de la Marina Baixa (Alicante)

The region of Valencia has been a pioneering territory in the study of flood risk at regional scale, culminated with patricova. In this work, it is set out the methodology followed to prepare a local analysis of flood risk. This analysis covers the description of basins, establishment of turnoff threshold, calculation of rain and water level, it ends with a cartography of flood hazard and the recommendations to mitigate it in affected areas. This methodology has been put into practice at coast of Villajoyosa and Finestrat municipal areas, which belong to Marina Baixa region (Alicante province). In this area, flood risk is mainly related to occupation and disappearance of river beds.
