Climate change affects our health. The effects of climate on various determinants of disease, such as vectorborne illnesses, extreme weather, and air pollution, will magnify existing social and economic inequalities, disproportionately affecting the poorest and most vulnerable regions around the world, where exposure and susceptibility are high. Climate-resilient and sustainable health systems are critical as global temperatures continue to rise.
