A 50-year-old woman was being treated for sudden-onset sensorineural deafness. Serum total protein was increased at 10.1 g/dL (reference interval: 6.5–8.0 g/dL), and albumin was 3.5 g/dL (reference interval: 3.5–5.0 g/dL).
