Measurement of fecal porphyrins is important in the diagnosis of porphyria, but conventional methods to measure them have drawbacks. We explored the use of derivative matrix isopotential synchronous fluorescence (MISF) spectrometry for the measurement of coproporphyrin and protoporphyrin.
