This paper responds to a rejoinder written about our article, "There Is No 'I' in Team," published in the Review in 2001. We agree with the rejoinder's author that it is important to consider the historical and social contexts of athletics when looking at it as a model for diversity. Nonetheless, we continue to believe that those in athletics can teach us something about working with individuals from different backgrounds.
