Human health in a changing environment – a practicing internist’s point of view

From the point of view of an internist, health is an organism’s ability to perform its functions as a whole. A condition for integralness is homeostasis, understood as the ability to maintain a stable internal environment in a changing external environment. There are various ways of doing this. Human civilizations were built thanks to the fact that they adapted the external world to themselves and to a lesser degree themselves to this world. Does this not constitute a risk for the world?
