This research was carried out to determine the performance of grain yield and some parameters of maize seeds in different shape and size under restricted irrigation for two years (2011-2012). Under this study, 6 different shapes and sizes (SR:small-round, SF:small-flat, MR:medium-round, MF:medium-flat, LR:large-round, LF:largeflat) seeds were used and two different irrigation types (%100 full-irrigation and %70 irrigation ) were applied. The resarch was arranged in a randomized block split plot design. In this study, grain yield, thousand kernel weight, kernel weight per ear, test weight and plant height were investigated. Kernel shape and size were not significant for grain yield and the other traits which are investigated for both years except kernel weight per ear, whereas restricted irrigation was significant for grain yield, thousand kernel weight, kernel weight per ear and test weight, except plant height. According to the results, the grain yield and the other controlled traits were not affected by kernel shape and size and it wasn’t important as grain production.
