The research was conducted to investigate effects on yield and yield components of winter and spring sowing time of different durum wheat genotypes in Tokat-Kazova conditions during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 growing seasons. In the study, 4 durum wheat (Triticum durum L.) lines and 15 durum wheat cultivars were used. Field tests; 3 replication, was founded according to Randomized Complete Block Design as winter and spring sowing periods. Seeds were sown with a density of 500 plants per square meter. Fertilizer rates were applied as 10 kg N and 6 kg P2O5 per decare. While half of the nitrogen and all of the phosphorus was applied at sowing, the other half of the nitrogen was applied prior to jointing stage. In the winter and spring sowing respectively the average of genotypes, heading period 161.1 and 68.4 day, plant height 91.0 and 70.8 cm, the number of spike per square meter 559 and 375 number, single spike yield 1.84 and 1.34 g, thousand-seed weight 47.8 and 42.6 g, test weight, 79.7 and 79.0 kg, grain yield 468.9 and 234.8 kg/da and harvest index 38.8 and 37.6 % was determined. Significant differences were determined among genotypes both winter and spring sowing in terms of investigated traits. Also, significant differences were determined among years in terms of other investigated traits except for thousand-seed weight in spring sowing, heading period, plant height, test weight and harvest index in winter sowing. According to the results obtained, were determined that Sarıçanak 98 and Hat-7 genotypes could be taken into durum wheat production in both winter and summer experiment.
