This paper takes a holistic view at the changing needs of the new Chinese outbound tourists, specifically in Thailand which has been one of their primary destinations. The research adopted the perspective of customer knowledge management, looking for a deeper understanding of the knowledge about, from and for the new Chinese tourists. An online survey in the Chinese language was conducted with qualitative and quantitative questions. The research findings help to build a strategic understanding to enable the Thailand tourism sector to become more active players in the Chinese tourism market.
