A comprehensive approach to the implementation of innovative activities gives enterprises and the industry as a whole a number of advantages, due to which the goal of bringing the Russian economy to the innovative path of development can be achieved. Therefore, the most important task in the formation of an innovative economy is the study and identification of the specifics of carrying out innovation activities in industries, which requires special approaches and techniques for assessing the effectiveness of innovative activity. This study is caused by the inadequacy of the methodological and methodical base in the field of assessing the effectiveness of innovative processes at the sector level of the national economy’s functioning.
