This research investigated from the design of the undergraduate Pedagogy, Bachelor course, of Anhanguera-UNIDERP University, distance learning mode, the course addressing modes and the current meanings produced by the students for it. This study articulated the addressing modes concepts according to Elizabeth Ellsworth with the reception concepts, according to Jesus Martin-Barbero. The results showed that the students do not feel fully identified by the course systems representations and the local teachers have a great relevance, influencing in the retention of students and thereby contributing to the reduction of the course evasion rates. The possibility of studying by distance learning mode was emphasized as an opportunity, verbalized by many as dreams that were turning into reality. Keywords: Distance Learning. Addressing mode.
