On 17 December 2013, the European Parliament and the Council adopted the EU Regulation 1308/2013, establishing a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products. The Regulation, which entered into force on the 1 January 2014, repeals and replaces all existing relevant normative instruments, thus providing a new single legal and institutional framework for the EU common agricultural policy.
