Spreadsheet modeling courses are a common feature of business school curricula. We describe how a lab based spreadsheet modeling course was translated for online delivery. Both the online and lab based versions of the course were offered in the same semester, and we report encouraging results of a comparison of the two delivery modes with respect to student performance, student activity level, and student evaluations. A Moodle based demonstration version of the course website, including almost all of the course content, has been created as a supplement to this paper.
