Este estudo objetiva compreender conceitualmente a importância da motivacao, enquanto habilidade psicologica para a pratica esportiva. Acredita-se que ha ganhos efetivos de performance e desempenho para os atletas e equipes que trabalhem motivados. Assim, pela pesquisa bibliografica e de revisao sistematica de literatura buscou-se identificar a importância do papel do psicologo do esporte na efetivacao e conducao desse trabalho motivacional, alem de compreender as diferencas propositivas das tres grandes abordagens psicologicas, e a forma pela qual as mesmas indicam praticas e entendimentos teoricos em relacao a utilizacao da motivacao como aporte para a psicologia do esporte. ABSTRACT This study aims to conceptually understand the importance of motivation as a psychological ability to practice sports. It is believed that there are effective performance and performance gains for athletes and motivated staff. Thus, the bibliographical research and systematic literature review will seek to identify the importance of the role of the sports psychologist in the effectiveness and conduct of this motivational work, in addition to understanding the propositional differences of the three major psychological approaches, and the way in which they indicate theoretical practices and understandings regarding the use of motivation as a contribution to the psychology of sports.
