EJA. Politicas de Formacao. ABSTRACT Education does not cease over time. It continuously flourishes in the course of human existence, enabling the development of material and immaterial goods, among which the political consciousness that sediments the citizen action to consolidate the educational praxis in the professional work of an educator. It aims to situate EJA (Education of Youth and Adults) in the current national political scene, in order to (1) rescue aspects of its historical evolution; (2) to analyze the training policies for the educator of this type of teaching; (3) to establish a correlation between EJA and citizenship, here conceived as a chance of intervention in the context. In order to achieve such attempts, the theoretical framework prioritizes official documents and authors such as Alves et al. (2015), which describe V CONFINTEA, an important milestone for EJA in Brazil; Paulo Freire (1987, 2002, 2006) and Pedro Demo (2006), which confronts Freire's thinking about the arrival of virtual reading; besides others. Faced with any possibilities, young people and adults awarded by EJA will be able to reverse the social exclusion rates that surround this segment of the learner, and in general, they will be able to count on new tools to face the world in a more consistent way, reinforcing their conviction of holders of social, political and educational rights, enhancing their historical status, which builds their own learning condition. Keywords : Education. EJA. Training Policies.
