Diplomacia Midiática e Jornalismo Internacional: As Notícias Globais no Âmbito da Política Externa

No presente artigo, realizamos uma reflexao sobre os pressupostos da diplomacia midiatica (GILBOA, 2002), conceito do campo das Relacoes Internacionais que busca estabelecer formas de utilizacao da midia noticiosa para a consecucao de interesses pelos Estados. Como sua estruturacao e relacionada a percepcao de uma forca das noticias distribuidas globalmente, trabalhamos questoes relativas ao jornalismo internacional, a partir de autores como Aguiar (2008) e Traquina (2000) e politica e visibilidade midiatica com Gomes (2004) e Weber (2006), entre outros. Ao final, analisamos possibilidades e limitacoes da diplomacia midiatica, examinando a divulgacao do acordo nuclear entre Brasil, Ira e Turquia, em 2010. Palavras-chave : Diplomacia Midiatica. Abstract In this article, we perform a reflection on the as sumptions of media diplomacy (GILBOA, 2002), a concept from the field of International Relations that seeks to establish ways of using the news media to achieve interests by States. As its structure is related to the perception of a force of news distributed globally, we work issues relating to international journalism from authors such as Aguiar (2008) and Traquina (2000) and politics and media visibility from Gomes (2004) and Weber (2006), among others. At the end, we analyze the possibility e sand limitations of media diplomacy examining the disc lo sure of the nuclear agreement between Brazil, Iran and Turkey, in 2010. K eywords : Media Diplomacy.
