Representações Sociais E População Em Situação De Rua: A Visibilidade Construída Pela Mídia

O trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as Representacoes Sociais acerca de sujeitos em situacao de rua, a partir das materias publicadas em um jornal cearense. O tema justifica-se pela necessidade de discutir como as midias, que influenciam nosso olhar sobre a realidade, contribuem para a construcao simbolica do que chamamos pessoas em situacao de rua, fazendo com que reflitamos as ideias e as praticas direcionadas a este publico. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa. Os dados foram coletados na versao online do jornal, compreendendo um periodo de seis meses, e analisados por meio do metodo da Analise de Conteudo. Os resultados encontrados trouxeram as categorias estereotipos, violencia sofrida, violencia praticada, alcool e outras drogas, solidariedade/caridade e contradicao do viver na rua. Foi constatado que as materias tanto reforcam representacoes sociais convencionais acerca da populacao em situacao de rua como, em menor escala, apresentam outros olhares sobre ela, refletindo a complexidade do tema estudado. ABSTRACT The work aims to analyze the social representations about subjects on the streets, from the materials published in a newspaper Ceara. The theme is justified by the need to discuss how the media, that influence our view of reality, contribute to the symbolic construction of what we call people on the streets, causing us to reflect the ideas and practices aimed at this audience. The methodology was qualitative. Data were collected in the online version of the newspaper, comprising a period of six months, and analyzed by the method of content analysis. The results brought the stereotypes categories, suffered violence from violence, alcohol and other drugs, solidarity / charity and contradiction of living on the street. It was noted that both materials reinforce conventional social representations of people on the streets as, to a lesser extent, have other eyes on it, reflecting the complexity of the subject studied.
