O estudo busca mapear o dia a dia das praticas escolares na Geografia na interface entre uso e operacionalidade dos meios de comunicacoes pelos estudantes e professores. O objetivo e analisar como eles se conectam no cotidiano escolar atraves das tecnologias digitais, trazidas pelos meios de comunicacao, e, tambem, observar o entendimento deles sobre as novas linguagens trazidas pelos meios de comunicacao contemporâneos. O solo teorico deste estudo esta lincado na Geografia e Estudos Culturais, para permitir estabelecer reflexoes e discussoes sobre a problematica do estudo. Para tanto, o caminho metodologico percorrido foi por meio da aplicacao de um questionario e entrevista, em que foram levantadas questoes referentes aos usos das tecnologias na vida dos estudantes. Fizeram parte da coleta de dados alunos e professores do ensino medio de uma escola publica de Porto Alegre. As analises foram direcionadas para compreender os conflitos existentes nas praticas escolares da Geografia. Os resultados dos achados apontam a existencia de mundos diferentes habitados por corpos localizados no mesmo espaco. Enquanto alunos estao hiperconectados em tecnologias digitais o tempo todo para comunicar-se, os professores as utilizam mais esporadicamente e com outros fins. E ambos nao as utilizam como ferramentas no auxilio do ensino e aprendizado durante as aulas de Geografia. Palavras-chave: Ensino de geografia. Tecnologias de comunicacao. ABSTRACT Studies map out scholar practices in geography day by day in its interface among its use and how to operate in means of communication by students and teachers. The main goal is to analyze how they connect themselves in school routines daily through digital technologies, brought by means of communications and also by observing their understanding about new forms brought by their own evolution. The theory of this study is linked with Geography and cultural studies allowing to establish reflexions and discussions about problematic studies, that is, the methodological manner was applied by a quiz and interview and by these, it has been risen questions about the use of technologies in the students life. This poll was answered by high school students and teacher of a public school in the city of Porto Alegre. The analyses were very important to understand the conflicts that there are in the scholar geography practices. The results show the existence of different worlds existing in corpuses in the same space, meanwhile students are hipper-connected in digital technologies full time to connect among themselves. Teachers use the same technology to connect sporadically but they use for other purposes. Teachers and students don’t use these tools in favor of teaching and learning process during the geography classes. Keywords: Geography teaching. Communication technologies.
