Neste artigo discutimos um estudo longitudinal, desenvolvido entre 2006 e 2013, periodo no qual observamos a versao on-line do Brazilian Times – um jornal comunitario publicado por brasileiros para leitores brasileiros desde sua fundacao na Nova Inglaterra, em 1988. Analisamos as narrativas desse jornal, com o objetivo de identificar se o jornal representa um espaco de resistencia da identidade nacional dos imigrantes brasileiros naquele pais. Palavras-chave: identidade; migracao; comunidade transplantada. ABSTRACT In this article we discuss a longitudinal study carried on between 2006 and 2013, period in which we observed the on-line version of Brazilian Times – a community newspaper published by Brazilians to Brazilian readers since its foundation in New England, in 1988. We analised the newspaper’s narratives aiming to identify if this newspaper represents a room for resistence of the national identity of the Brazilian migrants in that country.
