An Improved TDOA-based location algorithm (TBL) is presented for the wireless sensor networks of large scale and high density nodes. The algorithm is analyzed from three processes, including measuring distance, computing position, circulating location. Capabilities of the algorithm affected by the parameters are analyzed, and it is compared with the Euclidean algorithm in simulations. Results show that TBL is an efficient location algorithm based on different rapid of waves in different medium, and it shows an induction for location of IoT.
