Fencing originated from Europe in the Middle Ages, which was the product of different factors' interaction in ancient society. Since the modern Olympic Games, fencing has exerted a far-reaching influence on all aspects of society. This paper studies the value of fencing from the Olympic perspective. The value of fencing is mainly manifested in four aspects: the competitive value of fencing, the educational value of fencing, the cultural value of fencing and the economic value of fencing.
