Only two hydrobiid species were known from Armenia, Shadinia terpoghassiani (Akramowski, 1952) and Shadinia akramowskii (Zhadin, 1952). Recent investigations in Armenia revealed two new species: Shadinia bjniensis n. sp. and Nicolaia schniebsae n. gen. n. sp. Both are described here and compared with all known hydrobiids from Armenia and adjacent countries. key Words: Gastropoda, new species, new genus, identification key
