Journal of Cell Science is very sorry to say goodbye to Francis Barr, who has stepped down as an Editor after 10 years. Francis covered membrane trafficking, mitosis, cytokinesis and cell signalling for the journal, handling over 1600 papers during his tenure. He has been a tremendous asset to JCS,
