In active Graves' orbitopathy (GO), treatment can improve the final cosmetic and visual outcome. Diagnostic delay results in significant morbidity and increases patient dissatisfaction. However, it can be challenging for endocrinologists to recognize GO and decide who should be referred for ophthalmic care.
