Sam attended a department-wide strategic planning meeting for a field development project to which he was assigned. All disciplines from subsurface geoscience and drilling through reservoir and facilities engineering would work for two full days to craft the near- to midterm plan for this project. The appointed moderator for the proceedings was Larry, one of the company's most highly respected principal geoscientists. In addition to being a very talented geologist, Larry was also intimately familiar with the intricacies of reservoir modeling, and probably was best known throughout the company for his objectivity and unflappable demeanor.
