Interpreter Sam

From time to time Sam's company spends some money on group activities variously known as team-building exercises, stocktaking, strategy sessions, summary reviews, and away days. Of these, away days are certainly the most costly, but very often the most entertaining. The cynics in Sam's circle of friends have been heard referring to these activities as love-ins, in reference to hippie gatherings of the 1960s, but even in this jaded view they recognize the positives that can come out of time spent in communicating for common purpose.
