Back in prehistoric days, a person picked up his pen and wrote a column for The Leading Edge. He called it From the Other Side. Column number one: “Notice the heading for this column. I retired from Chevron on 1 November 1992, approximately 10 months ago. It seems as if I have been out of the system much longer than that. I have gone from being a person whose every pronouncement was heeded, to a person who has difficulty getting his golf partners to listen when he gives them good advice on how to improve their play.”
