About 40 years ago, I read a book on commercial writing. One chapter discussed the use and misuse of words to color the text. The color depended on what slant you wished to convey. This is true for writing as well as speaking. We all know about speaking. If we use a few wrong words when talking to an irate person, physical violence may result. By coloring text, we can introduce bias.
