Excitement and speculation buzzed around the Student Pavilion at the SEG International Exhibition and 85th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, in October as students eyed the new trophy for the Best Student Chapter. The name of the 2015 winner of Best Student Chapter was obscured for most of the week, leaving students eager for the announcement at the end of the Annual Meeting. The announcement of the 2015 Best Student Chapter capped off the annual commencement and recognition ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, 21 October. The three finalists were the Pandit Deendayal University (India) SEG Student Chapter, SEG Student Chapter Cracow at AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), and Society of Exploration Geophysicists Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) Student Chapter.
